This is a one day recertification course but you will have to take the two day course if your current ticket expires. Your ticket can be valid on the day of training.

STUDENTS MUST BRING AND PRESENT CURRENT STANDARD FIRST AID CERTIFICATION ISSUED BY AN ALBERTA GOVERNMENT RECOGNIZED PROGRAM. (**Re-Certification cannot be completed on the date of Expiry listed on the card**) This 8-hour program is designed for currently certified Standard First Aiders to review their first aid practical skills. In addition to completing all required skill and scenario testing, students must obtain a 70% score on a 50 question multiple-choice examination. Successful candidates will receive a certificate recognized by Alberta Human Resources and Employment, Workplace Health and Safety that is valid for 3 years.

In order to take a standard first aid recertification course you must have a valid  Standard First Aid course (Level C, CPR and AED) at the time of recertification training.
Call today and let us know if you are in British Columbia, BC or Alberta, AB and if you are currently trained in Standard First Aid by Western Canada Fire and First Aid, Apex, St. John Ambulance, Canadian Red Cross, The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or another recognized provider. If your current SFA ticket is certified by a provider not mentioned here, please let us know who the provider is and we'll confirm if your training can be recertified or if you will have to take the two day Standard First Aid course.

Emergency First Aid can be renewed every three years or annually depending on your employer. Healthcare providers tend to take the Basic Life Support (BLS) course formerly known as the Healthcare Provider (HCP). Ask your booking agent to suggest the best CPR course for you.
